Ritual Art Tattoo was established in 1999 by Jim Gambell. It began as a small studio which he ran solely after he had served a three year apprenticeship at Living Image in London. Lizi Sage joined the studio in 2001 and together they began on the journey to what the business has become today. For many years, David Corden worked as ventilation engineer, and only in 2006 did he begin tattooing under the apprenticeship of Jim Gambell from Ritual Art Tattoo.Currently a full-time artist at Gambell’s studio, Corden is recognized for his ink art of pin-ups, portraits, and wildlife.

His tattooist and one day boss, Jim Gambell, saw potential in David and asked to see more of his drawings. It would be four years before David walked back through the doors of Ritual Art Tattoo with his portfolio but Jim still saw the same potential and offered him a job as his apprentice. The rest, as they say, is history. David decided to design his own tattoo of a Dragon with detailed line work and brought it to Jim Gambell at Ritual Art Tattoo in Rainham.
